ubitexx was founded as a consulting firm / systems integrator and evolved into a software product company, focused on Enterprise Mobile Device Management for smartphones. ubitexx’s software enables administrators to define software and security packages for different Windows Mobile, iPhone, Symbian, Android and Blackberry smartphone users within an enterprise. The system can install, configure, control and maintain a broad set of devices ”over-the-air”. Each device has a copy of the ubitexx client software, which guarantees security, monitors device status and usage, and communicates with the server. In May 2011 the company was acquired by Research In Motion Limited (RIM).
