We invest in companies in IT, the Web, media, semiconductors, telecom- munications, alternative energies, environmental, medical, micro- and na- no-technologies. In some cases we already invest when there is little more than an idea or a prototype. But often our portfolio companies already have a finished product or even first customers. All of them target high- growth markets with revenue potential of several hundred million Euro: Global Winners: many of our portfolio companies serve global markets. And, of course, their competition is global, too. Examples of such markets are software, optoelectronics, semiconductors, logistics and environmental technologies. Domestic Winners: almost one hundred million people with a gross domestic product of 3,000 billion Euro – the German speaking markets alone are so huge that, for example, media, e-commerce and services companies can become big businesses.
